Harwood Union High School has an outstanding music program and the support of parents, grandparents, and other community members is an essential component in the program’s success.

• The current 30 year old, grand piano is undersized for its usage onstage.

• A larger piano would provide a grander sound for school concerts and allow for higher quality recordings which are a major focus of the Harwood Music Program.

• A newer, higher quality piano would potentially attract professional musical ensembles to our stage to perform for community-sponsored events.

• The current grand piano would be moved to the band room and serve to improve student rehearsals and provide better sound quality for the many recordings that take place there.

A new piano will cost approximately $30,000. Keys may be purchased for $100, $250, or $500. We would be grateful for donations of any amount that you find comfortable!
